Montblanc Cigar Case For Pens?

So i've been trying in vain to find a hard wrapped leather MB case for my 149s but alas they are hard to find! I came across some MB cigar holders (they hold 2 cigars individually) and got to thinking that it could hold my 149s quite nicely. Anyone own a MB cigar holder and can speak to the size of the slots?

The MB Cigar Sleeve will hold two MB 149 pens easily, and the pens can clip to the divider in the two slot sleeve. I just tried it.

However, because the Cigar Sleeve was designed to hold cigars and not pens, the top and bottom halves of the tube separate very easily - it's not a snug fit like the Florence case.

The Florence cases are occasionally available on eBay and more rarely available in the classified section of this forum. You really want the Florence case. That's what I use.

The best way to find out may just be to phone the Mont Blanc boutique and ask...they should be able to tell you for certain.

As yachtsilverswan said, it does hold 2 149's easily and is actually very well made. I tested it as well as the MB Boutique and should be getting mine in next week. The leather was cracked on that one the MB Boutique had, so they ordered me another one. It is very elegant in my opinion. I believe fellow FPN member FredRydr has one as well and has been using it for some time.

I also have the 2 pen Florence case and use it often, it did take a while to get one off ebay, but I have a feeling, once my cigar case arrives, I'll be using that one instead. The inside of the Florence case is leather lined, while the cigar case is fabric. I wondered whether the fabric might scratch the pens, but remembered that cigar wrapper is actually extremely delicate so I should be alright.

Just for reference, they also make another cigar case shown below, but I have not seen nor handled one to say whether it would work for pens or not.

As yachtsilverswan and Wael suggest, it is possible to use the cigar cases for pens. Ithe second one pictured in Wael's post is the older model, which was discontinued as far as I know. I bought that one to carry larger pens in, but ended up using it for cigars. It is what it's made for anyway. I got the newer model, the first one pictured in Wael' post, just a few months ago. Both are nice, well made and hard, so I guess would protect pens well. However, the issue Wael raised with regards to the lining, is something to consider. The lining may scratch the pens especially that the pens as somewhat loose within the case.
