Waterman Elegance

Why are there no reviews of the Elegance? It's a nice Waterman that looks back to the early safety pen they used to make and has a distinctive style. It's also similar to the modern Perspective. At the moment I'm getting into Watermans but why the strange silence on the Elegance?

This is not a lot of comment, though, but what I was really getting at was the absence of a detailed review in the Review section of this website.

hi there :)

I have a Waterman Elegance, the Ivory model. It was one of the first fountain pens I bought. I was browsing for ivory pens on the web and kept coming across it. I initially hesitated since I couldn't find any reviews anywhere from it and it's not a cheap pen, at least it wasn't for me (being a student) at the time. But I eventually caved and bought it because it looked so nice and I couldn't get if off my mind, plus I thought Waterman is a good company and I already owned a Hemisphere that I really liked.

I was meaning to write a review of it, having seen that there's none here yet, but I've been too lazy so far

I might still do it sometime though :) Here are some comments that you may find useful now: It looks very nice in person; I wasn't disappointed when I got it. It is quite heavy though, despite being a comparatively little pen. That is because the barrel is made of metal underneath the Ivory material. I don't know what the Ivory is made of but it looks and feels more like porcelain or china than plastic (I'm pretty sure it's some type of resin though). The finishes are beautiful and the quality of everythign is very good. It came with a converter. I love the two tone nib. I have a medium, which is a tad thinner than a Pelikan medium and very smooth. The cap is a magnetic snap on and actually takes more force than most snap on caps to take it off. That makes it very secure though. The clip is very small but I like the way it looks. I never use clips anyway.

I hope that helps you! Now I really feel like writing a review and posting some pics. I might do that tomorrow :)
