Wax Seals And Sealing Wax Fun

I have made myself two custom seals.

 

I can't do the level of detail I'd like, but I was surprised how well even the first one looked when actually stuck in wax...

The last of my seals. A titanium signet ring and a desk seal, both from Dexter. The desk seal was commissioned using art I'd commissioned from an artist friend of mine in memory of my mother. The ring art is from Dexter, using the arms proof they provided when I ordered my arms desk seal.

I have been lurking and admiring the seals here for some time and I am now able to add my first Dexter seal to this collection:

 

I had a wax desk seal made with the images of all three of my labs (past & present) Nick, Nora & Nadya to remember them by & Dexter’s work is stunning. I have posted the original artwork they prepared for m:

My 2^nd & 3^rd Dexter seals!

 

I have always been interested in the history of Carthage. These seals reflect the reverse

of two different tetradrachm minted to pay Carthage's mercenaries in the first Punic war. The Horse & Palm Tree were Carthage's banner or hallmark. These two examples are my favorites.

I am interested in starting to use was seal on personal correspondence. How dies the processing equipment treat the deals as they go through their equipment? Some waxes better than others for stamina? The photo were enlightening. Thanks for sharing.
