Wow! What a coincidence!

Because most pink ink reviews I read and saw would show reddish or purplish undertone, I was thinking that an unusual undertone would be nice. Orange, perhaps? If there's such an ink, I promise myself I'd buy it.

Here it is :headsmack: Thank God :notworthy1:

Thanks much for this review. Really appreciate your effort :clap1:

Regards,

Jules

Great review! You've sold me - I'm off to buy a bottle of this now...

Thank you, Victoria! I really enjoy this one! I am noticing that it is lovely in both dry-ish and wet writers.

Late to this post, but glad to see the review. I saw a bit of the color in a Fahrney's catalog. Then checked it out at Goulet, then found this review. I have the pink safari and thought of a pink ink. This will be the one I buy because I plant cosmos flowers and have the pink blossom to compare it to. So even though it's $28 at the best buy point, this is the bottle of pink ink I'll get. Hopefully for Christmas!

I have the pink safari and thought of a pink ink.

I love this ink BUT I found that it is a bit on the dry side compared to other iroshizuku inks (e.g. my Prera with a stock CM nib squeaks when writing with kosumosu). I've not tried this particular ink in my Safari Vista but like the Prera, the Safari also tends to be a dry pen. (And I think it's worth noting that kp -- the reviewer -- said that the pink safari used in the review had been fitted with a nib that was adjusted "to write on the wetter side".) So anyway it might be good to try a sample to make sure you're happy with how it works in your pen. (Besides, you wouldn't need to wait for Christmas to order a sample, right?)

Hi Conib. Thanks for your comment. My safari has a 1.5mm italic nib. So I'm not sure what adjustment the op made, but it is a wide nib. If I want some other products, I'll order a sample as you suggested. The majority of my inks are J Herbin and Waterman.

I may have to try this. Charles Rice will be so jealous.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

What a beautiful ink with incredible packaging! I love pink with an orange twinge to it, reminiscent of a coral/salmon. And this color seems pretty easy to read.

Yes. Lovely. Thank you for posting those beautiful photos of cosmos. I think I'll try growing some myself, next year.

Hi Conib. Cosmos flowers are easy to grow from seed once it's warm enough. I had a big planter and over seeded it. It was like a forest of Cosmos, but so pretty. The fine foliage is neat too. The one in the photo came from an already started nursery plant. They have such thick stalks compared to the ones I started from seed.

I hope you do grow some. They do require removing spent blossoms for aesthetics, well worth it though. By the way, my first packet of Cosmos seeds was free, and had orange flowers pictured on the seed packet. It was a mix, and the flowers were the pink ones plus white and a purple-red. I've never seen orange ones in a mix yet.

I ordered a bottle of Kosumosu on my birthday, and it arrived today. The bottle is very pretty, and a clever design. I think I'll dip my pink safari in it to try it. Transitioning to Autumn colors, so no need to fill a pen now.

Happy Birthday.

Thank you. I got 2 fountain pens and several notebooks. Very cool. I'm going to take some photos and write a post about one of the notebooks.
