Show Us Your Parker 45

Parker 45s (along with my Parker 21s) have been my all-around daily writers for several years now. Inherited a few from my Dad. 45s are very smooth writers and are "wet" writers with good ink flow, I've never had skips when writing with 45s. They are pretty reliable.

 

Guys, show us your 45s.

Bought my first 45 today. A nice burgundy example. Can't wait to get a converter for it and try it out!

I have a large quantity of Parker 45s and Colleges, but regrettably it's quantity over quality at this point (although I do have some nice gold brocade "Ladies", a couple of nice Insignias and Coronets and a few Harlequins):

I'm still not getting on with the nib, it's a smooth wet writer but too broad for me. I'm hoping to find a gold fine nib to replace it with, but I've overspent this month & next already. Agh.

Pleased to share some snap shots of my Parker 45 ballpoint pen. Saw this from a boxful of old pens that were about to be thrown away by an old friend.

I have two 45s:

- a dark red gold trim mechanical pencil with ballpoint body found among my father's pens (dated 1996 with an Y).

- a midnight blue gold filled cap, 14k gold nib USA-made 45 Custom fountain pen from the 60s which I bought from an auction site. It has an original fatty squeeze converter.

 

(Also, my boyfriend has a 45 ballpoint pen from somewhere which looks exactly the same as my 45 pencil, dark red, gold trim with IIIN date code and original logo, possibly 1989. It was funny to discover )

 

Both of them are excellent for their purpose
