maybe i think 209 white steel duke fountain pen is cheap ,only $3.2 , This is the cheapest pen I have bought ！！

Although it won't come under everyone's definition of "cheap", I'm really impressed with the Pilot Prera. (that's a brand that shows up a lot in this thread). Pity it is C/C though.

 

The Camlin Trinity is certainly cheap though, but smooth, very reliable, rugged, well built, and with good ergonomics. Not exactly good looking though! I think the only two things that could damage it is a nuclear explosion or a ball point user.

My favourite fountain pen range, and in my (limited, inexperienced) opinion, the best, are definitely the Lamy Safari/Vista/Al-Star. Just make sure you get the right nib, as there are so many to choose from, and they are easily replaceable!

Actually my 15 rupee bright yellow Camay is my cheapest favourite! I don't think anyone can beat that price, unless you got a pen for free!

 

That may not be much use to anyone looking for a cheap pen though, as even in India I found Camay brand almost impossible to get hold of.
