I've Been Thinking About All These Parker Penman Sapphire Carts...

So often you see, "check out this prior post, it has all you need to know" and it really doesn't.

Silly me just glossed over it this time too. THEN I saw SAM posted the post. Oops. My bad.

That prior post really did have a TON of great info. (and I'd even posted to it myself at the end not having read the whole thread).

Sam Capote you are now my official go-to High Priest of Detail Orientation. Consider yourself duly cursed. If I need the skinny on

something hereafter and need that *In Detail*, I'm coming to you.

More props from this prior post.

To DCWaites someone I respect and consider a friend I say, (with a Big Grin and wink) GRRRRR!

;)

Now because of your wonderful handwritten note in PPS, I feel compelled to for the first time in years, bring out Satan's Pen,

my own Sonnet, and try it with these carts that yes, the pen and ink WERE probably made for each other. Hopefully for a few minutes,

I can make it through any skipping and forget about the hard starting just to feel that 18k spring again and see how this PPS shades

with that nib. (Hopefully the SP won't end up embedded in the trunk of this Granddaddy Oak tree here...) :gaah:

Also in the props for DCW area, not everyone knows that David formulated what IMO are the two

best private recreation recipes of PPS. The first Noodler's based one and then a second Private

Reserve based one after he and I chatted about a PR based equivalent recipe. (Both recipes

with writing samples are in Inky Thoughts somewhere...)

So thanks (Again!) David for that too! :clap1:

PS I also got a short message from Stella the seller too. No mention of how many carts remaining but

the 50/100's have been relisted again for 30 days or until they run out and Stella said they

got the carts from, "the Parker distributors, they are all genuined cartridges".

Bruce in Ocala, Fl-might even have to go for 50 more...

Is everyone else getting a few extra carts?

Mine came in bubblewrap envelopes each containing 7 cello packs of 8 carts per cello pack. For a 150 cart order that gives me 18 extra carts, not a bad bonus when they get $7.19 for 20 carts.

The cello envelopes look like they were made for the ink and have "resealable closure" (or some such) printed on the resealable flap. So I guess one interesting question would be did Parker ever package their carts in 8 cart cello packs?

The carts are identical to the others I had from another source. My others were coded 3FA and the new ones 5A. Everything else is the same.

Bruce in Ocala, FL-always likes free ink

Bruce, thanks for your generosity. Being so detail oriented is a double edge sword that can...and has....sliced both ways.

I posted an update from "Stella" with revised specific quantities rather than the earlier estimate in that Marketplace thread, and a rough ballpark calculation of actual size volume if the total quantity was in the Greek seller (kphil75) original boxes. If I did my math right, it's a pretty small pile of cartridges.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.
