In Praise Of... Binder Arabic Nibs

Very cool, and my cursive's legibility also suffers with italic and stub nibs. This looks like a possible remedy. Thanks for sharing.

I have Arabic nibs of several different widths, and I have found that with narrow ones, the line variation can be quite subtle. I strongly prefer a wide one (e.g., a 0.9). For the more narrow ones, if you have a wet pen/ink, you may lose some variation (e.g., the sample in green above, where the pen was writing a little wet because I had just filled it).

The arabic nib sure gives some great line variation. Strangly enough, one can find very similar line variation with the Pilot Varsity. The tip of the varsity nib is folded vertically so it produces a distinctly similar line.

Also some of the EF nibs on few pens are formed that way and give similar results.
