Wooden Pens

Hello!

Here are two new "indestructible" fountain pen made ​​of aluminum or brass in combination with wood. The all interior is made ​​of metal, including the inside of the cap. Of course, except than nib, fountain pens as a whole is totally "free kit".

Wood that I used on the brass fountain pen is ash (from my forest :rolleyes: ) soaked in linseed oil and treated with coating of natural rubber (a bit too shiny for my taste). Fountain pen with aluminum are from Wenge wood. Currently looking at ways in which to treat metal, so the time would not have changed color. I am currently discussing the possibility of browning brass ....

Very nice creations! I especially like the Ash with the knots. I have turned some Ash but have not yet tried the Wenge. Some say they have difficulties turning the Wenge. Both your creations are Beautiful.

Do like the little knots in the wood, and the brass section does look nice, though I would guess it would be slippery after a while of writing. The contrast on the other is nice as well.
