Looking for a seriously heavy pen

Kevin mentioned that the $33 was even heavier. (The $27 is long sold out, but they do show up in the Marketplace.) A fairly fabulous pen for the dough, imo.

This topic is quite useful to me as I had a few of these on my "who knows, maybe someday" list, but heavy pens are not for me. I love my Legacy II for short bursts, but it is too heavy for my small hand for longer use.

Isn't sanity really a one-trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy . . . ooh hoo hoo hoo! . . . the sky's the limit!

I tried a Stipula Davinci the other day and it's nice and heavy. Also the coolest retractable nib ever. If my budget was as high as yours I would have grabbed it in a second...

The Aurora Talentum was also nice and heavy, and it's relatively affordable at $150-200.

Edit: my heaviest pen at the moment is a Danitrio $33 pen - I highly reccommend that one too!

To the already extensive list of excellent suggestions, let me add the Faber-Castell Porsche Tec-Flex. The pen's distinctive styling makes a high tech statement; it is a heavy, all-metal pen; and, best of all, comes with a very smooth wet nib.

I raided my pen case, pulled out all the heavy pens I own, and broke out the digital kitchen scale. Surprisingly, the heaviest pen I own is the Acme Quote. (It's a converted rollerball, with a graphic designed by Laurinda Spear and distributed by Acme Studios.)

Here's the breakdown:

Acme "Quote": 1.75 oz / 51 g

$33 pen: 1.63 oz / 49 g

Duke 2017: 1.5 oz / 46 g

Sensa Meridian (Black & Noir): 1.5 oz / 43 g

Rotring 600: 1.38 oz / 41 g

Pilot Knight: 1.25 oz / 36 g

Haolilai 601F: 1.25 oz / 36 g
