I only own two Montblanc's at the moment, a 1960 Montblanc 32 with a 14k fine nib and a 1986 Meisterstuck 149 with a 14k fine nib. I have had the MB 32 for some time and I always have it on my desk inked with Noodlers Zhivago. I love the flex nib and how it seems to just fit in my hand perfectly. The only thing I do not like is that it doesn't have an ink level window which is why I am looking for a good deal on a Montblanc 22 or 21. I have only owned the 149 for about two weeks and I think it has been the one pen I have wanted ever since I began collecting fountain pens.

I have a classmate that is such a snob that all he does is bring his vintage pens to some of our study groups and brags about them and to shut him up I brought along my MB 149 and took notes with it sitting next to him during the entire study session never mentioning my pen, but It was all he could talk about! lol

I think I would love to also own a Monte Rosa, but the prices on eBay are a bit inflated at the moment, so I think I need to wait until after Christmas!

When the eraser fountain pen is invented, I will be the first author to have written his book using a fountain pen!

Well, I believe this is a rare one, not easy to find... At least for me it is the first time I see it. It has new cork and restored by a specialist, Osman (some here know him), the best way to homage the pen (and the restorer too) is to add some images in this quite attractive thread... The nib still needs some polishing and it is not going to be long before is done... MB # 45 Meisterstück Safety

Wow! What a great photo. Mottled, grained or rippled red and black hard rubber is my favorite material for vintage pens, and this pattern around the star is gorgeous.

Congratulations for such a wonderful find, and a fantastic restoration, no doubt.

If you want another piece of trivia for your pen, it was destined for the French market. German-bound MBs all had 14c nibs, but French-bound pens had 18c since that was the minimum purity level to be considered "solid" gold.
