no, AFAIK. But they have a telephone number, you can find it in one of the posts in this thread.

I am from Calicut and I had a chat with them when I bought a couple of pens from there.

Because of the decrease in popularity of pens theyhave shifted to being opticians.

Before a decade or so they were about to throw away a box of old ebonite pens because there were no takers.

But then slowly people started coming to them online and they understood the pen's true worth.

This was a very informative thread @hari317 🙏🏼🙏🏼I was wondering how the pens are after 10 years. Kiwipens advertises them as being burp proof. Is that really the case ?

thanks

Burping is really an issue in countries where the ambient temperature is low and hand heat can significantly warm a pen to cause ink to be forced out due to expanding air at the back of the ink in the writing position. The ink is released or burps when the feed is unable to absorb (buffer) this excess. I have found this to be a non issue under the typical Indian weather conditions unless the pen has a manufacturing defect like an oversized or out of round section bore.

since you don’t live here and burping is a concern to you, you may enquire with other foreign users or maybe they will respond here. You may also enquire with the vendor regarding their satisfaction guarantee policy wrt burping etc.

kim is a good pen. Has multistart cap threads. A unique feeder on the smaller pens etc. the stock nibs were strictly ok only. I ended up switching them out. The pen is completely handmade and the pen maker is very old now. Get one while you can. I enquired last year directly through kim. Prices have shot through the roof. Best,

I have been using Kim eyedroppers in colder climates since 2019 and have had almost no ink burping problems at all. I have had maybe one or two instances just before the pen went completely dry. That happens even with some of my other non-eyedropper pens.
