First batch of these is already at TWD- they posted a fb status a few minutes ago..

I have a sample of Penman Sapphire to spare, but I'm in Canada, and shipping it would cost about $7. :headsmack: That's more than a bottle of the Diamine ink!

Thank you Simone! Radellaf is sending me some

Hrm, do I want these enough to get 80ml bottles rather than waiting a few days and getting 30ml?

Any chance of getting a comparison between the Diamine Sunset and Iroshizuku Persimmon? I quite like the Persimmon...just not enough to buy a whole bottle.

Persimmon seems to have slightly more pink compared to Sunset.

Wow! Thanks so much!

Still not sure what I'll end up thinking about Sunset. Guess I'll have to try a sample.

I've just received word from Diamine. I'm afraid the news is not good for us inkophiles. The first batch of inks (Eclipse, Macassar, Meadow, Denim and Wild Strawberry) are due to be released on 19 September (only less than a week away!). The next batch (Beau Blue, Bilberry, Ancient Copper, Soft Mint and Sunset) are due out in December, followed by Merlot, Apple Glory, Aqua Lagoon, Matador and Eau De Nil, in March 2012, and finally, Grape, Ochre, Peach Haze, Misty Blue and (drum-rrrrroooolllll) Sargasso Sea, in June 2012.

Waaah! Their website says "Autumn 2011" for the second batch. December isn't Autumn!

Not to resurrect the other recent thread titled "New Inks From Diamine," thought I would insert this same table to keep arrivals sorted easier from that thread.

Oh, let's do a sort by arrival date.

Coming Soon
:

Denim

Eclipse

Macassar

Meadow

Wild Strawberry

Available Autumn 2011
:

Ancient Copper

Beau Blue

Bilberry

Soft Mint

Sunset

Available Spring 2012:

Apple Glory

Aqua Lagoon

Eau De Nil

Matador

Merlot

Available Summer 2012:

Grape

Misty Blue

Ochre

Peach Haze

Sargasso Sea

Then I'll add FP's sample chart from page one, so you know where to look on Diamine's website which groups by colors. It seems to make sense to wait for arrival of first ten sometime this winter, then second ten sometime next summer.

With the new FPN rules, now I REALLY don't know what to put in my signature.

fuchsiaqueen, (or how about fuchsia empress?) if you're still taking requests ;) it would be really awesome to see Meadow & Apple Glory writing samples with a less-broad nib... Thanks so much for everything you've posted! :notworthy1:

The first 5 have landed in the US! Our shipment is on its way, should be here mid-next week. Can't wait to try them out!

Very exciting, but I'm probably going to wait for the soft mint to come out in December before I get any inks from this first batch. I'm glad you guys will carry them, and that you can get them so quickly!

Hi Indie,

Unfortunately, my nibs are all B and broader  I will attempt to write with Meadow and Apple Glory with my flexy fines over the weekend.

Take care!

Wonder how the Sargasso Sea compares to Majestic Blue and WES Kensington blue. I've never seen the WES Kensington blue in person, but my Majestic Blue is darker than the sample shows. The Asa Blue and Sapphire Blue appear to be a tad lighter from the samples, but similar to each other.

You are very welcome

I'm currently on the road for work, so won't have access to a scanner until Tuesday, although the comparisons are done.

It does seem like they're saving the best till last. And these dates are just tentative, barring any issues along the production line.....

Aarrrgghhh...June 2012.

The only saving grace is I fancy Bilberry and Ancient Copper (that's really out of my comfort zone but it looks spectacular) and they'll be available soon.

Thanks for the swabs, the writing samples and for keeping us posted on Diamine's expected distribution.
