New Diamine Inks

I think you're eyes are fine. I too see a purple tint in eclipse.

My eyes aren't fine, but looking at the ink itself rather than a scan, I see more blue than purple.

I haven't gotten my hands on the ink, so I can only judge from the scans. Which may, or may not, be accurate.

Oxblood is a brownish red wheras Syrah is purplish. The colour on your scan is good (at least on my monitor, which supposedly came setup for Adobe RGB as opposed to Standard RGB), I have both Red Dragon and Syrah, and your samples look very much like what I see. To me your ancient copper sample looks to be about half way between Red Dragon and Oxblood, but with far more shading than either of them.

Thanks for the extra info!

Does anyone have a scan of Diamine Bilberry?

Thanks so much for the comparison between Sargasso Sea and PPS. I'm shocked to see Sargasso Sea is so much darker! I still can't wait to try it, though.

You're very welcome indeed!

I hope I can get all these before the Mayan Apocalypse destroys life as we know it. :roflmho:

Mayan Apocalypse would be a good name for an ink color. (Maybe a whole apocalypse series, Mayan, Zombie, etc.) Since it's just over a year away, the inks will probably be out, but I won't be able to finish whole bottles of the ones I like by then, not along with what's already sitting on the shelf.

On my monitor, the Apple Glory and the Meadow look rather similar. Is one of them more yellow IRL? Thanks for posting the colors and water test!

Apple Glory is what I would classify as a blueish green, whereas Meadow is more of a 'true' green - more on the yellow side of the spectrum. I have attempted to highlight the difference, but unfortunately, the scan has not worked.

Oh oh oh!!!! Meadow is just what I've been looking for! It has the yellow tones that one of Noodler's newer greens did before it was reformulated. I've ordered it from the Diamine website and I just can't wait to get my hands on it!

Today I received a 30 ml bottle of Eclipse, the colour seems black but when I looked it in the right angle I saw purle tones jumping of the page. A really great ink!!!

I totally agree. One of the inks that I'll try to keep in one pen all the time.

+1 to both comments. Same here.

Ancient Copper and Bilberry are calling me the strongest...but I am weak and may fall prey to more than those two...

Got a bottle of the new Diamine Meadow and it is now loaded in a Parker 51 forest green with a juicy medium nib. Wonderful ink color and a great combination with that P51 forest green. Cannot wait to use this ink with a flexible nib. This will happen soon!
