Mb220 Vs Mb220P

My 220P has the section with the unbrushed part that your 220 piston filler has. It also has the same condensation tube in the feed, but made of metal.

 

Thank you, that is certainly very interesting. Can you pls post a picture of your cartridge filled 220P with the feed containing the condensation tube? It will be an important addition to this thread.

How long were the 220's made for ? I associate mine with the early 70's , but I don't know when they started and finished.

I was a compulsive MB220 buyer, most of the piston filled versions have the smooth area. There was one 220 that I bought which had a fully smooth section with a brushed cap and barrel.

I find them interesting...

What will be the cost ?

Just checked my copy. According to the book there were 3 models: the 220, 220p and 220sp. The 220 was the piston filler, the 220p was the cartridge filler, and the sp was a cartridge filler in platinum trim. All were made from 1971-77.
