All My Pens Are Broken

Thanks everyone for your kind advice. It seems like the Lamy 2000 is recommended by many of you and I also like the aesthetics of it, but I will look into the other suggestions as well.

You can ignore the reports about titanium dioxide being carcinogenic. It was by inhalation (try not to inhale the pen  ) but that was a very old study and is well-known amongst toxicologists today as being an example of how not to do things. Sadly, box-tickers are not programmed to use judgement.

But back to the point, the Cross Townsend is a pretty tough pen if the one I bought off 'bay is anything to go by. The end has a small dent, as has the barrel and the cap; both have chips and scratches to the black laquer; but the nib is perfect and as I got it very cheaply I don't worry too much about it being a 'take anywhere' pen.

But do do do please get the C d'A repaired - it is a lovely pen and it ought to be used and loved daily

I +1 the Lamy 2K, I have 5 of those battle tanks, they write very smoothly and can take a beating, although I want to point out, just to make it absolutely clear, I didn't drop it on purpose... ;)

Why are some people still ignoring the fact that some plastic materials are tough like hell. You don't need to get a homo sapiens to have something that won't break easily. Sure, the material used for many pens is quite brittle, but that doesn't apply to every resin used for pens.
