Identifying Meisterstuck Rollerball

Hello gentleman,

My first post!

I have a small colection of fountain pens, Montblanc, Conway Stewart and Dupont plus a few others.

I have just been given a pre owned Meisterstuck Rollerball (couple of quick and very dirty pictures attached), about which I know little and which I'm having trouble tracking down via the net.

It looks relatively recent to me (by which I mean last ten years judging by the products highlighted in the guide) and comes with the box, sleeve and usual service guide. I am satisfied the source is reliable (a very old customer of my father). As you can see it has the "flat top" with snow cap and looks like it should be a special edition of some sort.

Any input would assist.

Thanks in advance!

I'm by no means an expert but that's no rollerball of the meisterstük line. Come to think of it its not even a Montblanc. Others will chip in. Sorry for the bad news. I hope you can get your money back. Welcome to FPN.

Many Thanks, it hasn't cost me anything yet and won't if that is right.

However, the source (widow of a long standing and respectable client of my father) certainly Isn't the sort to pass off a fake as the real thing or even own one (let alone go to the trouble of packaging it up in a legit box with a legit service guide) so I find this slightly odd!

Does anyone else have a view, so I can make a call on this I won't spend the next month wondering about?

Thanks again.

Most replicas also come with legit looking boxes and paperwork. It's a design I have never seen, but I certainly have not seen every model MB has made, particularly when it comes to ball points or roller balls.

I have no idea where you are but the best bet is to run it by one of the Boutiques or Authorized dealers and get an opinion.

Thanks for that.

I'm in London, so no problem tracking down an authorized dealer, which I will do this week; I will report back...

Meanwhile if anyone has a view, let me know.

Regards
