Photos needed ?   O.K., I can help on that.

Here's a shot from the tail-end of a business trip of some 1,400 miles drive last month, stopping for the night at a classic Route 66 motel in Tucumcari, NM.  Lots of wonderful sights to be found if we're awake, aware, and alert...

Blue Swallow Motel at Night No 1_DSC4629 small.jpg

Nice car in the included (expanded) image.

Buick, early 50's? 51, 52, maybe 53?

Life is about more than pens, right?

There are also cars!

It's definitely a Buick, and the front bumper had "Buick Eight" engraved on it.

However, I'm not knowledgeable enough on the Buicks of the era to know the specific year and model.

There was also a pale blue-green Hudson Hornet at the motel.    That one I know because the model type was on the driver's side door !

Had a late-season (for Arkansas) snow a couple of days ago, and was able to catch a few birds, my favorites being some of a female northern cardinal.

Absolutely beautiful images.

Check out (PBS-NOVA?) DVD called "Butterfly Blueprint". There is a lot more to butterflies than visual beauty.

Very interesting DVD.

Your first print reminds me of when we lived in Kingman, AZ, and we often took 66 out to Oatman or explored by-roads.  There were lots of scenes like this, and I have many negatives and slides from that time.  One day, I need to sort them and digitize.

Time to maybe bump this up and see if there's still interest in photography around. Just got back from a trip to Portugal, and highly recommend it. Still working my way through a bunch of pictures I didn't have time to get to while there, but that makes the trip last longer. A few shots I have gotten to:

Anybody been somewhere interesting lately?

Mountain area in Czech/Polish border. I think I will need to get an yellow or orange filter to increase contrast in the sky and clouds.

These look great!  If you are shooting traditional film, yes, a yellow or orange filter will help with contrast.  Might also with digital, but you can always Photo Shop (or any number of less expensive alternatives) to get the effect you seek.  I have also found that some of my traditional film negatives, scanned into computer with a a good, high resolution scanner, can then be manipulated in PS or other to improve contrast.

Certainly not Nature, and hopefully not off-topic.

I went the other day to Madrid, we were museum and sightseeing, and while walking around we passed by this neat shop in Mayor with this amazing display. I didn't enter, we were sightseeing, as i said, actually I didn't even take note of the name (no waiting), I only remember it was on the left from the Royal Palace towards Sol. Only had the time to take a quick pic of the display.

Just now, I realize it says the items are in-house made. Will have to remember to pass by again to have a look if I go back to Madrid and have the time.

large.cMayor_Madrid.jpg.f01f44dc812fd187

Edited: I looked it up in Google Street Maps, I remembered it was near the Sefarad center and the Houses of Japan and Asia (we went there for a free expo),  and surely there it is, and the display is even recognizable! It is called Artelema. According to Google there seems to also be a School of Writing nearby. Now I see it in Google, my picture is not so interesting any more.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

Thank you.

Yes, these are not as came up from development tank and I did use some software (Affinity Photo in my case).

I only think about getting the filters as I do not shoot nature so much. But I actually might use them for the portraits I like to take. 🙂
