Back in August, I visited the Fairview Lift Bridge and Cartwright Tunnel near Cartwright, ND. It is a lift bridge built over the Yellowstone River in 1913. Law at the time required that it lift for river traffic, which was no longer a thing. The lift was run once to test it, and never again. The tunnel beyond is North Dakota's longest (and only) railroad tunnel at about 1500 feet long.

Until the 1950s, the bridge served rail and automotive traffic. It continued as rail only until the mid-1980s. Now the bridge and tunnel are a park.

An old picture. Maybe of 30 or 35 years ago took it with a Canon TLb, scaned and translated from film to digital, I never liked it, to saturated, but now, I dont say is a good picture even acceptable, but I like it, you can say that I must desaturate it in Photoshop but.. why?.
