Thanks, Abstract 49 and Pelman, warm greetings from Mexico.

You know, I'm envious of your opportunity. I have seen these birds a few time in Texas, but I've never got the chance to get any good photos like you did.

I love the desert, too, and I like old, decaying buildings, especially old barns, farmhouses, sheds, small town stores and post offices.

The desert has the quality of isolate subjects in photography just the clean or cloud sky and the horizont and the subject alone it can be a highway, a Joshua tree, a cowboy, a cactus, or adobe revenido, all that is beautiful.

wow (ed)... I could easily spend a few hours detailing the layers, colors, dof, subjects >>> ....

but what this once young girl who declined a now super rare, not quite street legal 440 Dart in favor of a "but Dad I really want a Camaro" will note... in my wildest dreams my Camaro would be in a double-clutch down shifting in This mountain scene above.

...warm happy smile on wrinkled old face this am.. Thanks!

Thank you for your kind words :-)

Driving Furka-, Grimsel, Susten- and St. Gotthard Pass this year was quite an experience. Not only enjoying the lovely companion of one of my best friends but also the weather didn't allow too much speedy driving. Roads became icy during snow and you could only see for a few metres. Since those roads are mostly almost single track only and having no guard rails didn't help either. (You might now Furka Pass from the car chase in the 007 Goldfinger movie)

Still I would do it again every day.

Don't know if you do facebook but I've uploaded a few videos from the drive. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Cheers

Michael

WOW folks! I'm so impressed.
