Ok. You can blame me, no excuses, please forgive me for the photos, no focus , no sharpening, no contrast, I took it from my truck on , in march. with my Nikon 3200, I was afraid to lose them, I lost onefpn_1476389881__dsc_0230_copy.jpg, it was a pair, they were not bald eagles , they were white in the neck wit a black spot in the head, they are big , beautiful beasts even the calfs are afraid of them. The question is what kind of birds are they, where are they from, they are no from this region.

Found it. Crested caracara. Original from South America. But lives in Central America Mexico and U.S.

Caracara is a correct name; it is also often called a Mexican Eagle, although it actually is a type of hawk/falcon, and it is the model for the "eagle" on the Mexican flag.

 

By the way, that's good photography for the circumstances. Congratulations!
