One of my clients is a Bird Of Prey Centre where as well as all their photography I also run workshops for photographers, so I get to play with Barn Owls and all sorts of other Birds Of Prey on a very regular basis.

breathtaking! barnies are so beautiful.. interesting behaviors to observe.. some of the best of the best barnie photos from UK. Have seen and heard of the efforts to re-establish them there. (as you know - beneficial to natural environment, rodent control vs poisons) Did you hold one of the feathers? I nearly forgot as I was leaving, suddenly remembered, and found one stuck on the fence. Softer than chinchilla fur  I also took a photo of it Remaining on the fence. Federal laws prevent possession of a feather, yes that rare Here.

Thanks so much for sharing! Made my day.

Using Different Lenses - A Tutorial

Big zoom lenses are a great way of making your subject look closer.

And the Zoom function can help you get even closer!

But to get really close you really need to use a Macro Lens

Yesterday I sent a money order to KEH, I was looking in its trash can and luckily I found a cheap 55-300, and a kenko 2x tele converter, I hope they are fast and not to dark. Also a good tent for photography in Academy. Birds, be prepared to pose. Je je.

Thanks Jon, problem is that the Kenko 2x tele intereferes among the electronic networks of the camera and the lens so I have to focus manually, but with the 300 alone I can continuos focusing in birds flying but with ugly results until now. Greetings.

Very nice waves on this one, it looks like an oil painting from one of the old masters :happyberet:

How did you get that effect?
