I think I've seen that, but I can't remember where... Nice picture, anyway!

The Wild Boar called Tacca in Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island BC.

Thanks!

I've never been there (though I would love to see the area), so I must be mistaken. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity!

Very nice, Fernan! Hope the move is going well. Sonia is going to love this one!

And you're dang right!!!!! J'aime BEAUCOUP cette prise Fernan!!!!!!! :clap1:

Sorry guys, been outta scope for awhile. I'm seasonal around here...:roflmho: that's how I have been able to last for almost 6yrs in FPN.

I am working sloooooooooooooowly on a portfolio with the possibility of a small exhibition at the hospital I work at. This idea came to my mind a few days ago. I have found a Sam's store where they print digital photos via chemical (vs. ink). I have this patient that works there and she told me they come out very neat and cheap (Fuji paper). I kinda retired from Flickr for I became wary of the easy accessibility for people to download my pictures. I haven't taken any from the website but either have stirred much to attract attention. I am also checking (at my own no-rush pace FOR THIS IS A HOBBY!!:headsmack:) websites that I can have my pictures bought and downloaded...but I still need more info because right now I'm a NOBODY .

Then busy at work with a few patients passing away, something emotionally very hard for me and my little office staff. :(

Soooo, here I am saying ; I'm alive and have not forsaken thee!

DeviantART is a very nice, friendly place which I highly recommend. On this site you decide if people can download your pictures, if there's a watermark, if it is sold as a print (normal members get 20% of the sales), etc.

lspriluc, that beach shot looks very interesting. You can get some free programs where you can manipulate the light (Picasa, etc).

Thank you!

I`m not going to edit my pics. I read somewhere that an image doesn`t start with the camera, it ends there and I couldn`t agree more.

:roflmho: Oh Lawd! We can go at lengths here...

In the time passed since this discussion, I bought a dslr and a polarizing filter for the lens to increase contrast and saturation. Also, I shoot raw+jpeg and, if needed, I adjust the image using the software that came with the camera. Even though I plan not to learn photoshop (further editing will most likely take more and more of my limited free time), I realise how childish it was to say those things. :roflmho:

Sorry everyone.
