Spectacular shot of Yosemite! I'd like to make it there one of these years...

Had a nice, warm, sunny day yesterday so I took a few pictures outside... Really makes me ready for spring!

I spent last weekend at the Greenbrier in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia. I'd been there before, and knew I wanted to try to capture the gorgeous chandeliers. I know that the crystals in the green chandeliers in the main dining room from Czechoslovakia. I'm not sure about the others. The pink looked like rock crystals. The red is in the casino, which just opened a couple of years ago. (I got scolded because I wasn't supposed to take pictures in the casino.)

There are more pictures on Flickr, not all of which are chandeliers.

Sorry I have gone AWOL lately...

Here are some shoots from Munich, where I've been staying for the past 2 months.

..........

I do like the tramlines shot. Did you digitally edit to desaturate etc., or was that natural?

Sincerely, beak.

The colours were natural (weather was very ordinary at -10C that day). I did enhance the shadows so the shadows could stand out more.

Best regards, Kai

Thanks. It is indeed the rich darks that make the picture, IMO.

Here's an "unnatural" structure in a "natural" setting.
