Here's one from the street. You will NEVER find me inside a cemetery on a foggy night...no way sir.

The cross up there (2200m, the Carpathians) has been built in 1928, in honour of the romanian soldiers that had fallen in WW I. It lies near the place where the army set artilery pieces during the war, in their effort to stop the ever advancing enemy. They carried the canons on the back of horses and with some kind of aerial cable way. Most of the time, the cross is covered in clouds.

No story, I like it and thought I should share.

Yes, they are still in use.

This is what I'm cooking tonight: Lentil soup

Chopped onion and garlic sauteed in olive oil; lightly sauteed quality Spanish paprika (so it won't get bitter). Then chopped potato, celery, whole tomato and baby spinach. Vegetable bouillon and dry sherry...all in my favorite clay [deep] pot or "puchero".

I would hate to be wearing that in general (being a guy) but it would be especially awful at the beach - you'd be a walking windsail. Her expression is fitting for the costume as well :roflmho:

Hey¡ Sonia, dont forget the longaniza from Toluca city capital of México state, good for fabadas or grillings. Your lentils need some coriander and tiny squares of smoked bacon mmmmmmmmmm.

Oh no Jorge! Coriander would completely change the flavor for they already have pimentón! (paprika). Now fresh basil, well, yummy!

While living abroad I experienced similar problems. I found that adding cloves and garlic directly in the lentil soup was not a bad substitute. After all this is what gives chorizo its distinctive flavor.

Not as long as you post pictures of food!!!thumbup.gif

I like fabada more than caldo. Here in USA you can get chorizos Palacio, which are pretty decent...better than the canned ones sick.gif .

Wow, magnificent range from blacks to white tones , almost a grey scale if not for the vague discerning greens, everything in focus with long deep of field, composition is smart. Greetings.
