Hi Ispriluc, pretty girl in the last picture, reminds me of Alida Valli in the last scene of ''The third man'', in the background I can see Joseph Cotten trying to reach her and ask her for forgivness

after shootin Lime to death, I hope she understand but we dont know.

Ispriluc, have you an your family a wonderful year. Greetings from México.

Yeah,

she saw I was taking the picture and I tried not to freak her out, not to point the camera directly at her, but more towards the front. But I also think she`s the main subject there.

Thank you and may you have a great 2012 as well!

Penrivers, good to see you again! Thanks to all the others that have been contributing. Love the fox pics! I have seen them in my area, but rarely. Would love to catch some (on camera).

My sons and I went running around yesterday while my wife supervised some painting at the house. We wound up at the Plantation Agriculture Museum in Scott, Arkansas. I found it to be very interesting. My sons seemed to enjoy it, though the older told me later that he "feigned interest for [my] sake". A few of the pictures I took:

Nice! Al igual q yo, me gusta retratar objetos geométricos.

I love to take pictures to objects with geometrical shapes. When young, I would go to abandoned sugar mills and take pictures (black and white, of course) of the abandoned machinery.

lspriluc, very nice photos!

Here's one from the street. You will NEVER find me inside a cemetery on a foggy night...no way sir.

I know it sounded stupid, I can try to explain it. :)

It makes me smile because it looks so good, I mean forget about the graves, the composition is very good, the top of the church right behind one of the tombstones, the lights, the feeling that I get from looking at it. Also, it`s not a creepy photo. I smile just the way you smile in front of beauty, there you go. I think that`s it.

Mérida, Yucatán.

Very nice, Coppilcus! I think that Mérida is my favorite city in Mexico, though I haven't been in many years. My favorite memories are of the central plaza at night, filled with friendly people, a band playing... I hope it's still like that!

roflmho.gifGot it! I took this photo from the car. Getting into a cemetery on a dark foggy night is not an entertainment I seekunsure.gif. Also, I believe this [inmense] cemetery is closed at night. But let me tell you, cemeteries have gorgeous art and make excellent pictures...at daytime! If I go at night would be with a large group. Call me coward, but I've seen enough not to get alone into one...

Reality always outclass fiction... still it is a place to behold any time of day or night; Mérida is a beautiful city indeed, I´ll retire there someday...

In México, my staggering and battered México, of course caution is advised, but mainly at travelling at night on highways: :bawl: .

More of the península:

Izamal, Yucatán.

Stunning shot! I like the way it is set... It might be have been worth using an orange filter (real or virtual) to increase the contrast a bit... but it is rather nice as it is!

I used a red filter... but I do not know how the image look "finished", it´s a digital scann from a black & white 35mm film positive print, but on color paper to reduce cost, and then print the best of them in b&w paper... time has passed and I have not made any b&w print.
