bugs me her face was out of focus... I find it so hard to shoot with an automatic focus and then I have no help to focus manually as in the old lenses....gaah.gif I'm both near and far sighted....

Cuando vayas a Madrid chulona mía,

voy a hacerte Emperatriz del Lavapiés,

Y a alfombrarte con claveles La Gran Vía,

y a bañarte con vinillo de Jeréz,

En Chicote un agasajo postinero,

con la crema de la intelectualidad,

y la gracia de un piropo retrechero,

mas castizo que la calle de Alcalá.

Agustin Lara.

..I have no help to focus manually as in the old lenses....gaah.gif I'm both near and far sighted....

I am not make or model is your camera but have your tried using the focusing dot indicator? There should be a dot that lights up on your view finder that indicates when your focus is right.

For your near and far sighted problem. Have your tried adjusting your diopter on your viewfinder?

I understand that an "out of focus" photo would bug you. It bugs me too, once in a while. I can show you examples.

However, your photo seems to really capture the "ambiance" of the place.

I would love to visit Madrid one day.

So many places to see and enjoy in the world...

1. is it in automatic or manual mode??

2. yes, diopter adjusted but sometimes it's hard to focus

I like that wise good point from Stevenson but I envy the good coat that guy wears in the photo. Greetings from México.

Sonia, the photo of your sister is good, but I think you should try to set it in bw (gray mood), cause I suspect is in rgb (color), after you get ride of the vintage brownish hue then you can try smart sharp or unsharp mask, wathever you feel better. Greetings from México.

Took this with my Canon S95 on my last trip to Vegas. On a mission to prove to people that you don't need a huge expensive DSLR camera to take good pictures. (although I do want one, heh)
