Ohhh! Tanzanite is the blackest blue of the lot. I think I like it best..

I found a Private Reserve abd Pelikan Edelstein Tnzanite, so far... Which one?

Which was used?

I am using Pilot Blue Black and I am very impressed by its water resistance on Rhodia paper. I am using ink from a 350 ml bottle packaged for sale in Japan and I have added 20 ppm of a nonionic-surfactant. After letting the ink dry for, say, an hour, I can hold a paper with writing under running warm water for a number of seconds and then blot dry with very little loss of ink contrast or smearing.

My bottle of Pilot Blue-Black is quite water resistant.

Mine too. "Run the paper under the tap and it doesn't budge" water resistant.

A lot of this may depend on the paper, but I'm really wondering if OP got a bad bottle.
