I don't want to cross-post photos, but I thought this photo of Sailor Seiboku would fit this thread pretty well:

You won't be disappointed. In addition to the sheen, it's a great colour with beautiful shading. The perfect ink IMHO.

You're welcome. And Newjelan is right, it has some serious shading. Not just the same color with a thinned to saturated type of shading - but a saturated light blue (almost turquoise) to a saturated deep indigo. Quite a remarkable ink.

Platinum Mix-Free Cyclamen Pink has the best sheen that I've found so far! On the left is onionskin on the right is Tomoe River

@mhphoto: Massive! Impressive, thanks. Now we need another thread: Inks without a sheen :-O

I am no longer very active on FPN but feel free to message me. Or send me a postal letter!

mrphoto,

Tell us true. Are those dry sheens or my much alluded to "wet" sheens? The sheen that occurs while said ink is still wet and still in the process of drying? Jes asking. ;)

Yes. I've not vanished. At this very moment I am cleaning my caked dry, shamefully neglected, pen collection of soon to be resurrected, PENS!! Yet still wanna find some sheen in the brush pen world, which I have long been a wayward captive of. I WILL sheen, again!! ;)

Ah, now I know what 4B stands for. Sweet sheen!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Just one question about the photos mhphoto: Do you drop more ink on a line after it has dried? I ask because normal writing doesn't show much sheen for some of those inks.
