Special Edition Starwalker

I was at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport today and saw a special edition Starwalker commemorating one of the Airbus 'planes. I didn't get a pic and there didn't seem to be any literature available. Anybody know anything about this?

The launch was in 2009 as far as I remember. I didn't thought that there are still some available ...

I always thought you could only buy those onboard Emirates planes?

I must be wrong.

They look pretty cool, though!

I thought it was airports from which the plane departs. Not 100% sure though.

Didn't realise though that it was classified as a Starwalker though.

There were two models made, AFAIK.

The Starwalker model with aeroplane windows down the side of the pen, and the VERY nice, and equally expensive Airbus A380 model.

You can see them both in this image.

Not equally expensive. The starwalker was a promotional SE PP pen that sold for about $900 onboard emirates flights; whereas the Airbus modol is a solid white gold diamond encrusted LE of which only 380 units were made and sold for way more. In fact people that bought the emirates starwalker entered a lottery in which they could win a LE version.

I didn't make myself clear, by equally expensive I mean equal to how beautiful it looks.

As in, if someone says "A awesome pen with a price tag to match!".

Imagine if they were the same price!

PEN DEALER: "So you would like the Starwalker version for $900?"

CUSTOMER: "Yes, sir!"

PEN DEALER: "So you don't want the solid gold fountain pen with diamonds, and quite possibly the best designed nib MB have ever made, for the same price?"

CUSTOMER: "No, the Starwalker please!"

PEN DEALER: "You are the first owner of the new Starwalker!"

The starwalker was a fineliner not a fountainpen. No equals in any way shape or form!

Oh, come on! Is it really that difficult to comprehend?

Granted, what I wrote was very ambiguous.

But, I meant that the A380 limited edition FP is just as expensive as it is stunning to look at.

Heck, even that sentence can be read two ways.

I'm fighting a losing battle here!

*sigh*
