S.B.R.E. Brown (whom I assume is Stephen Brown). Yes. I love the intro to the videos (that sort of exotic singing which leads into a very normal chap who is exceptionally enthusiastic about pens...makes me want to watch them all).

I think it was in the comments section of one of his videos he said that he's Dutch, lives in the Netherlands, and his father is from England.

I think, too, that he does good reviews.

It would nice to meet him in DC but not sure if he is coming this year.

Well, I am crushed like a grape. Yesterday I left the house for a while after waiting patiently up to then, to do an errand. My husband promised he would listen for the mailman BUT I think he fell asleep and the mailman came and went. I have to sign for the pen and the mailman took it with him since no one answered the door. There goes my Parson's pen. I will get it on Monday first thing though. Wish I had it this weekend to play with and show off at the pen club. Oh well! . I will give you the full low down later, once I get my grubby little mitts on it.

I was thinking, the cap, barrel and section is practically indestructible of this pen, unless one falls on a railroad mishap or run over by truck. :P Converter is international, so, with just extra feeds this is a heirloom pen. Wondering if we can get extra feeds for this pen, anyone knows? Maybe even we can make some hacking on the feeds just for fun.

One boring blue, one boring black 1mm thickness at most....

Then there are Fountain Pens with gorgeous permanent inks..

Make it into a sac filler, like that Kaweco video showed us? How much ink does the converter hold?

B) Ok then... who is going to be president of the "Stephen Brown Fan Club"? Any candidates? How tall is he?

Yeah, he is great. Very knowledgeable also.

I believe I am more of an interested listener. Not my intent to project that I am anything more. The opportunity to have an off the record conversation would be interesting.

I just got mine. Took some pictures but I want to write with it for a while before doing a full fledged review. So far so good. Very good. Very impressed with the look and feel of it. I did get my name on it and it looks FANTANSTIC in the script they chose which is more like uncial and that goes with the Celtic band around the cap. Real unusual narrow feed in the back of the nib. Nib is two toned (gold/silver) with nice markings on it.

It burped Diamine Ancient Copper at first, went a bit dry, then came out of it. So far so good. It is smooth for an italic pen. Not near as smooth as a Pilot 823, but then again I don't think it could be. But jolly smooth. Will write more with it and do a real review of it in the review section. Took a video along with the still images.

http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af174/fabienne301/photo2_zpsf49b52e3.jpgOK, I was really impressed by the box. The clip is stiff but it's got style. The engraving is wonderful. Never had my name on a pen before.

http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af174/fabienne301/photo1_zpsf909306c.jpgI would say it is a great value! I will write more and tell you more later.

There are some ideas floating around here for loosening up the clip some, if you wanted to search for them (if it really bugs you).

Additionally, very slowly turn your barrel over and see if the words "Parson's Essential", supposedly engraved on every pen, are very visible on yours?

Pardon me while I just mop up this drool.

Yes, Harley, the tiny words "The Italix Parson's Essential" is engraved on the side.

After using it for a day or so (and in the middle of a crisis, too) it is performing flawlessly! It burped ink at the beginning and did skip very very slightly BUT now it's going like mad. Love the juicy lines I am getting. No complaints. I don't mind the stiff clip. Its' a keeper!

On the strength of my experience with my Parson's Essential, I have just ordered a Pocketo, which looks like the same pen but with different colour options (my choice was red) and has a Medium italic nib.

very interested in the Pocketo as i like colorful pens. where were you able to purchase it? i cant find one on google.

So many pens. So little time.

I believe the "exotic singing" are Gregorian Chants...of course I could easily be very wrong
