Thank you, Melnicki and Dilettante! This is way more than I thought Noodler's had..

I wonder if Mr. Tardif even knows how many colors he's made!

I heartily accept the motto, "That government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe--"That government is best which governs not at all"; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have.

"The definition of success--To laugh much; to win respect of intelligent persons and the affections of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one's self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived--this is to have succeeded."

Ooooh, I just noticed that Banknote Green is waterproof! I've been yearning for a waterproof equivalent of Sequoia. Could this be it?!? :o :) B)

Just add Sequoia to Lexington Grey.

Sequoia is so dark that you should still get enough grey to have it be waterproof yet be able to see that handsome Sequoia color. I hated this color until I started doing this; now it might be my favorite. (My original complaint was that it's too dark to see the green, but now I can see it just fine!) Of course this isn't completely waterproof, but it's good enough to preserve the writing -- and besides, Sequoia looks really great when it smears!

With any luck, the new Eternal Polar Blue will be the bulletproof blue many people have been looking for. It is being described as a "vibrant, intense Royal blue" so hopefully it will not be dull and "chalky" like the current Luxuiry Blue.

I see that the ink is listed for sale at Peartree pens. Quick, someone get it and do a review! ;)

Which ink are you speaking of?

I checked the site. It appears that this is only the Polar Black. According to World Lux the Polar Blue won't be available to ship until Nov. 27.

Maybe the Pengoddess has some early samples she might be willing to share with a few of us? Wink wink nudge nudge hint hint :D

Check again!

;)

You guys are quick! Polar Blue has been available, literally, for a few hours. It has just begun shipping to dealers today. More accurately, it has just begun shipping to a dealer today, because I just ordered Luxury Brands' complete stock. I should receive it no later than Monday.

I'm told it may be a week or two (or more) before Nathan ships any more.

Of course, The Pear Tree Pen Company won't be the exclusive dealer of Noodler's Polar Blue - just the first.

Nice coup, James! B)

I bet this is what that INK TEMPTRESS pengoddess was hinting at.

I would be curious as to which FPNer was the very first to order. (It would have to be someone on FPN, right? No one can be as obsessive as we are!)

Great list, Hana!  Thanks for putting it together.  I had no idea about the FPH exclusives -- and I was just there a couple of weeks ago!  What color is Old Manhattan?  (I'm assuming that Banknote Green is self-explanatory. ;) )

I have Old Manhattan, and I find it ot be an interesting shade of grayed-out green. It can appear black at times, too. I'm not good with digital photography, but I'd be happy to send you a snail sample.

Interesting idea. I never had trouble seeing the green in Sequoia until... well, actually, until today. I used it to take notes at a day-long conference, and toward the end of the fill, when the pen started writing a bit wetter, the color was running close to black. So I may follow up on the Lex Gray idea -- though I still plan to pick up a bottle of Banknote Green at the FPH Winter Expo. :)

The new Polar Blue is in. Hana - add it to your list if you haven't already!

Color swash below ...... the big swash is with cotton swab, the writing with a glass pen.

As always, different than any other previous Noodler's color. It is darker than Luxury Blue, not as bright as regular Blue. For those of you hoping for more of a shiny "eel" type ink look, not there. It has what I call the matte finish to it. Nathan tells me this is THE most bulletproof/eternal ink he has come up with yet!

WOW! That look pretty darn good for a bulletproof blue!

I'd love to try it with a little Levenger Cobalt to darken it (2:1 ?). I might have to get a bottle.

Is it true that there is white Noodler's FP ink in India?

I'm a step closer to trying this -- picked up a bottle of Lex Gray the other day. But I haven't done any mixing yet; for the moment, I'm just enjoying LG as is. What a great performer! Quick-drying, no feathering or spreading, and bulletproof -- very versatile. Used it today to jot some notes on the back of a thermal-paper cashier's receipt while taking in Cézanne to Picasso at the Met. If you've ever tried writing with a FP on this kind of paper, you know it's usually slow-drying and smudgy, very unfriendly. But for Lex Gray, it was pas de problème. /:) Here's a scan:

But I haven't done any mixing yet;

Let us know when you get around to mixing. I just now did your Mystery Blue mix, and that's quite a discovery you made. It's wild how the ink stays the same color after a soak--even after seeing your scans, I expected only the Iraqi Indigo to remain on the page after a soak.
