Here is my humble offering to this very fine snorkel thread.

ordinary snorkels but look more closely....

Flexible music nib, flexible stub Triumph nib ( maybe the rarest? What do you think Roger?), and "ordinary?" Music nib

Resized to 83% (was 960 x 720) - Click image to enlarge

Lovely collection, these nibs are on my dream list :puddle: :puddle: :puddle:

Wow! I don't know if that explains my reaction properly to viewing your collection but simply put...WOWEEEE. And the rest of us dream. I don't know why I missed this posting when it was first put up a bit ago but glad I took the time to slow down and explore closer this morning. Beautiful collection.

JELL-O, IT'S WHATS FOR DINNER!

If you are only going to have three , these would be it. Assuming you like to write with them

post-49573-0-53506100-1314407384.jpgI have these snorkels, as well as one or two desk sets.

Wonderful pens to write with. Very balanced, great ink flow. Made me a better penman. The green one was one of the first pens I ever bought. Made me a believer!

Man, those sure are some collections you guys have :puddle: I've never seen such a collection of snorkels and PFMs in one pic! And all those Gold models... :notworthy1:

I've got only one snorkel, and that's my pastel green Crest. I've gotta say that I can't put that thing down! How do you guys choose from so many? I know I couldn't...

Fingers crossed for Sheaffer’s future

Noob question here:

Is a PFM considered a Snorkle? Assume all PFM's are Snorkles, but not all Snorkles are PFM's, right? Doesnt Snorkle refer to the filling system, which many Shaeffer varieities use?

Thanks for your tolerance, and thanks even more for posting the pics; really fantastic pens, and I am even more heartened to hear that they are a pleasure to write with.

There are snorkels in the thin size 1952-1959 and PFM's that use a snorkel filling system 1959-1962. No other pens used the snorkel filling system.

Hmm, nice penporn.................is that a custom italic, or did Sheaffer make them that way??

I have one of the Sheaffer italics on a Targa, very nice...
