Pen stores in NYC?

As mentioned in another thread I'm heading to NYC and will have a little free time - any pen shops that are not to be missed?

I'm mostly interested in vintage pens - not really in the market (particularly at NY prices) but wouldn't mind drooling over some interesting stuff.

Thanks!

Ok, I'm not from NYC but I did my homework before our trip in 2003 :)

For vintage, I would recommend Fountain Pen Hospital (near City Hall), Berliner Pen (a stone's throw from the lovely Flatiron building) and Art Brown (one block from the "Diamond District"). The Joon stores we visited did not carry vintage pens, but I don't know if that has changed since late 2003....

Fountain Pen Hospital for sure for vintage and modern.

Berliner is probably only available with an advance call.

Joon does not carry vintage.

Art Brown if you're midtown - little if any vintage, but lots and lots of pens.

Fountain Pen Hospital on Warren Street in lower manhattan- around 3 blocks from the WTC site. There is no better place to go for new and vintage pens.

Geoffrey Berliner @ Berliner Pens is on Broadway at around 14th Street in an office building. Call for the exact address. I have bought many vintage pens from Geoff and they have all been expertly restored and priced right. He is a wealth of knowledge regarding vintage pens.
