Hello All,

Sorry about the wait for this last shipment of ink. As Elaine has stated earlier, life's been very busy with "hanging out" with the family for the Holidays, tons of work, and plenty of opportunities to perform concerts...I do love this time of year, however it is very busy...

Anyway, I promise those few who have not received their shipments from batch one, they'll be sent out tomorrow! (There is about 9 of you I believe, mostly international orders)

Happy Holidays everyone.

The mix with Walnut does feather quite a bit (which is odd, as I havne't noticed a lot of feathering with Walnut alone).  The color is fabulous, though.  I'm thinking of trying a mix with black as well.

I finally got around to doing a black mix. Here it is. Have not done any real-world testing yet, but the initial write-out, on an Ampad Gold Fibre pad, showed no propensity for feathering. Sheaffer calligraphy italic nib, very wet (dipped).

P.S. Used this mix all day today, and it is a delight. FPN Galileo is an amazingly smooth and well-behaved ink, and the mix retains all of these properties. Gosh, there is so much orange in the Galileo -- the mix looks almost Purple Wampum-ish (that's deep purple) on some paper, but most of the time it's a dark-chocolate-y brown. I'm tickled that I can now put my bottle of FPN's signature ink to good use. :D

Thanks to all who were responsible for the ink. I'm not a big Noodler's or PR person, although I was more so a couple of years ago, but the bottle, the label and the ink are really nice. The label is very intricate and nice.

Again to all those responsible thanks again. I like the ink more than any of the other noodlers I have.

Got my FPN ink a few days ago (on the 29th)! Thanks to Bryan (for shipping it so securely to me), Nathan Tardif of Noodler's Ink (for creating such a nice ink), Hana (for the lovely label) and the FPN Team (for putting this whole project together)---Bravo! :D

The ink is really nice and the flow properties are great! It really does remind me of the ink seen on old manuscripts. I was expecting something more like my Waterman Havana Brown, but the FPN ink is decidely different....oh, and I like the fact that it is "bulletproof", too.

Well done, Nathan!

Oh, I hope I get mine soon! (Paid for it on 1/10.)

It looks to be a beautiful deep rich brown. :) Can't wait! Ok, I can... since I have to... but I really am looking forward to receiving it. :D

That's great news, Maja! Glad you finally received your bottle.

Thanks, lefty! Sorry for the late acknowledgement---I'm catching up on some old posts on FPN after having battled a nasty cold/flu bug for over a week. The FPN ink is doing well in my chocolate brown Waterman Le Man 200 :)

Well, I -finally- received my batch of 8 bottles on Friday! Yooohoooo! I know it was accepted by USPS on December, 20th, so I am really glad it finally arrived.

Of course the enthusiasm was dampened a bit by the fact that Customs and Excise deemed it necessary to slap 29.59 euros on top of the bill... This must rate now as the most expensive ink I have bought, to date, at about $26.50 a bottle, including shipping and Customs :). Ok, not the most expensive in price per ml, though :).

I haven't decided which pen to fill with it, yet :).

I'll select one before the evening is over :).

Warm regards, Wim

Hope that you are feeling better, Maja! As you can see, I've been away from FPN for a couple days myself. (And I don't think I'll be able to catch up ...) Glad the FPN special has found a happy home in your Waterman Le Man.

And, Wim, good to see your post! I'm sure by now that one of your pens has eagerly volunteered for the FPN ink! (Perhaps they are squabbling among themselves for the privilege.)

Hi Maja,

Same price I paid.... without Customs.... :)

Well, but the shipping was a little less due to ordering 8 bottles in oen go . Oh, the exact amount is $26.81 per bottle, BTW :).

Enjoy your ink, Wim!

Thank you, I am!

Paper over here is generally good, so no feathering I can see, and it flows like miracle stuff. So far this is the only ink I ever tried that flows problemless from all pens I did try it in. Close on 50 until now :).

Ah yes, they are, not just squabbling either... they ALL want it right now :).
