Good to here they're starting to arrive. I had a small mixup with the post office and they didn't offically ship until Thursday Morning, two days later than previously stated. It was my first time having them pick up the packages at home and I guess I didn't do the request quite right. I've got the system down now though!

Next shipment will include those orders up to 103...I believe, I'll have to double check that. They will ship Tuesday Morning. For more detailed info. take a look at the pinned topic on Monday evening.

Thanks all,

-Bryan

My ink came today!!! :D That is just short of a miracle as the postal workers around here seem to avoid delivering packages on a Saturday. Very nice color---pretty much what I was expecting.

The packaging was just fine...I removed the box of ink & emptied the news paper shreds right into the recycle bin. Much EASIER than dealing with those pesky packing peanuts that are so full of static electricity that they stick to everything <_< Great job Bryan! Thanks!! :)

My ink came yesterday. I like it! A nice rusty red color - but then, I love the brown/orange/red range of inks. Actually this ink is very similar to a mix I use - 5 parts PR Shorline Gold and 2 parts Sheaffer Brown. But the FPN ink looks a little more saturated. I now probably have enough brown/orange/red inks to last me the rest of my life. A hearty THANKS! to all those who worked on the ink project!

Mine was delivered today. It is indeed the most well behaved ink in the stable. I showed some writing to Granny and asked her what color she thought it looked like. She said; "Cinnamon Brown".

I am quite fond of the color. I'll buy more when this bottle is low. :D

Thanks to all involved making the ink, and to our label makers. The label looks great! /:)

Mine arrived yesterday.... I immediately loaded it the pen below.... I bought the custom body from Jesy Kullock at the Columbus show and put it together with a butter smooth fine nib.... just for the FPN ink...

The color and flow is fantastic... the best I can describe the color from my pen on Rhodia paper is IMHO somewhere between a copper brown and a cinnamon stick... I love the color and being bullet proof is definitely a plus... It is definitely a great match to this pen....

Nice Griz! Is the name of the pen done by you with this ink, or is it a computer font?

I wish I could write like that... :( :(

No that is a computer font called Loki Cola

Are there any other flex users using this ink? It works well on G Lalo paper (yet it takes a very long time to dry!) but feathers a lot on Clairefontaine. Also, the hairlines are noticeably broader than with my thinner inks (Herbin, MB). Is anybody else having problems with nib creep?

I feel the great, smooth flow everyone's talking about when I use my needlepoint flex nib without changes in pressure (great for taking notes! :D ), but it just doesn't seem to want me to flex with it. :(

Not that I'd want to tangle with krz's Granny but it seems to me closer to cloves than cinnamon. It really is eye catching.

Hana, I am not adept like you but I do have several flex nibs. I made a note last night when I was writing in my ink journal, "Definitely not for a flex nib." I just couldn't throttle back enough to control the flow sufficiently but that is my weakest area anyway.

I'd say it gives my writing a bolder look what with the absence of really fine lines and the intensity of the color.

Has anyone else experienced nib creep? It isn't as significant as Legal Lapis but there does seem to be a bit more on the nib than any of my other inks.

I found that it creeps *less* than most of the other bulletproofs, but I only have it in two pens so far.

Isn't sanity really a one-trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy . . . ooh hoo hoo hoo! . . . the sky's the limit!

I received my bottle of FPN ink yesterday! I immediately loaded it up in my "51" and have put it to work. What a nice ink! It flows well, dries quickly, and pretty much avoids smudging! And the color is nice and warm, and not too light. I will use this one a lot!

Does anybody know how to make this ink flex-friendly?

I don't know whether it would make the ink flex friendly, but I came up with a recipe using FPN ink. It ended up looking quite a lot like nightshade, which I'm growing to like a lot:

2:2:1 FPN ink, luxury blue, and Iraqi indigo

I think that FPN ink holds a lot of promise for mixing. I'd like to hear about recipes others come up with.

Mine's made it to this side of the pond! I promptly filled a Sonnet Flighter that's been waiting ever-so-forlorn on my desk for it :).

The first sight of the bottle made me think of liquid milk chocolate, and the first sight of it on paper only confirmed it (except, of course, not so liquid...).

Many, many thanks for organizing this!

Mine arrived safe and sound across the border in Canada today. (No it's not Thanksgiving here and the Post Office is working). Invoice 0022 for those who are interested. I'm only home for lunch and have to go back to work so no writing samples yet, but for those who are interested here is a quick picture of the bottle and label.

It works beautifully in my Namiki Falcon with added flex. And makes that nib smoother than it's ever felt.

I'm using Clairefontaine, Jimmy Tom (FPN), and Black 'n Red papers.
