Your Highest Milage Pen

My 149 looks like it was dragged behind a car. It has rugged good looks; battle tested.

Better that than a pristine unused pen imo.

Enjoy!

My Mandarin Yellow Vanishing Point is almost always inked, and it is always the one I grab to take with me when I have to take notes. I have it set up with a Binderized italic nib, and right now with some Navajo blue ink. It is my Go-to pen!

It is Sheaffer Imperial 440! Using since 1982! All graduation and postgraduation exams I wrote with this one. NOT a collectable item but a work horse! :D

Sheaffer gold Targa given by my parents, neither of whom are still living. It has both practical and sentimental value.

It is one of the smoothest writers I have ever enjoyed using and unfailingly reliable -- well unless it runs out of ink but that's not the pen's fault.

My highest mileage pen: Sheaffer Triumph cartridge/converter pen, steel inlaid XF nib, black with chrome trim, used through 8 years of college in 70's and 80's, still with me. Lots of barrel wear on the plastic, chrome looks new. In the past 10 years: Pelikan M200, XF, writes as beautifully as the day I bought it. Also has barrel wear, as has the matching BP that travels with it.

My Pelikan Chicago is the most used pen I have... have five of them.

So THAT'S where all of the Chicagos have gone to. No wonder there are never any available in the Marketplace or the Green Board. ;)
