Fabriano Bouquet Notebook Set Review

This very helpful review sent me off in search of the bouquet today (fortunately there's a Fabriano Boutique in the centre of Rome), and I'm very happy with the purchase. I tried out two of the papers in store (the staff was helpful), and I also got a docking notebook, a set of four notebooks that can be slotted together, made with a laid paper that's slightly heavier (90 g/sqm) than that found in the bouquet set. Once I try out the docking notebooks I may post a review too.

One of my favorite reviews! Took something I didn't even know existed, explained and demonstrated it and now I want it! Is this a great site or what?

and BTW, Amazon has this set!

Jerrys Artarama has them as well. I'm tempted to give them a try.

Reviving this thread to add a +1 on how amazing these are! I love that the pages are removable - it's a feature I always look for, but rarely find with paper I like (the only other is Kokuyo Campus notebooks - Midori Traveller's Notebooks have removable pages in the Passport-sized Notes, but I think the paper isn't so hot!) Like ClassicHippie says, it's harder if the page to remove is in the middle, but it IS possible - just make sure you get the spine bent back good and proper, which you probably have to do anyway to write in the middle of this type of notebook.

These books are a total winner! I wish every paper company did these :-)

I'm not affiliated with ANY of the brands/retailers/shops/ebay sellers/whatever I mention or recommend. If that ever changes, I will let you know :)

Looking for a cheap Pilot VP/Capless - willing to put up with lots of cosmetic damage.

I have friends going to Milan and came across this extremely helpful review; It's really impressive that all papers work well with fountain pens!

I've been extremely happy with the quality of the paper in the Fabriano Ecoqua notebooks, little to no bleed through with the exception of sharpies and modest show through which seems fine given the weight of the paper. The notebooks are extremely economical and come in blank my favorite or dot in the smaller ones. In the US they are at Michaels and Binders Art Supply.

Very good review! I would stick with vergata and Naturale, if they could be acquired alone. I recently pruchased the following Fabrianos for sketching; a great price in Amazon.

Artmart has the Ecoqua in spiral and staple bound notebooks.

A5/Junior, I got one and I think they have them in A4/Letter size.
