I think it might be a 2111, but the picture I've seen of one made it look like the base was thicker, but that could've been a trick of the perspective. For as much documentation as there is out there on Esterbrook pens, there is precious little historical info on the desk pens, from what I've found.

That would be the 2140 in Lime, although they also made it in Azure and Black (Jet) as well with the same model number. They called this the "Medallion Series". The 2111 is black and much smaller.

I have this same set in a pastel blue color, and have a similar problem identifying the model number, because this set -- unlike most of the other Esterbrook desk sets I've seen -- has black felt on the bottom with no imprint.

Of the fountain pen desks I've seen for which I can confirm the model numbers, the 2110 is square, the 2111 is round, and the 2112 is oval. I can confirm that, however, only with regard to black sets. I have not (yet) been able to find any evidence to confirm that the colored sets have the same number. If they do, then you and I both have examples of the 2111 in colors other than black. If they don't, then I haven't even a good guess -- yet!

Somewhere around 1955-ish, they list all the more modern desk sets in their catalog. I have the catalog, but there is no date on it. These were also called "Executive Sets":

The Jet Glass Series: 2110 square, 2111 round, and 2112 oval only in black $7.95

The Medallion Series: 2140 available in Azure, Lime, or Jet Much bigger than the Jet series, but still priced at $7.95

The Executive Carrara Series: 2130 single $10.00, 2131 single with larger base $13.50, 2230 double $22.50, 2231 double with larger base $27.50 All only in black

Then just to partially confuse matters, they have a ballpoint set #2121 in oval which is the 2112 base with a balpoint. $7.00

Wow thanks!

@Brian - other than price, were the different Executive Sets differentiated by nibs as well?

This set came with a 9668, with the number aligned vertically (90 deg to the barrel), and the feed had a little notch near the tip on the underside so you can fill the pen with the nib only half-submerged in ink.
