Yes, it is not a Sheaffer, merely a pen in a Sheaffer box. Also with a modern nib! Somebody is really trying to work this one!

I think it may be a frankenpen. The body looks like an old Parker Lucky Curve with mother of pearl and/or abalone pieces set in the barrel, and an overlay cap. See this page for similar models.

 

That would mean, of course, that the nib and box are wrong for this pen.

I was going to say it might be worth getting anyway, but if I'm understanding the current exchange rate that's pretty steep for just the body.

A lot of companies made cheap pens that looked much like this one. Superficially, it may look like a Parker, but I would bet it's not. Quality is nowhere near that of a Parker. And Sheaffer never made pens like this.
