Fiberdrunk, did you ever try filtering your IG inks to get rid of some of the grit?

 

Yes, but I never could get the Jane Austen recipe to flow through anything (works great with dip pens, though). The pomegranate and aleppo iron gall recipes work great in the Pilot Parallel, Pilot 78G, and Parker Vector fountain pens. I can't get anything to work in a Platinum Preppy, though. I feel pretty happy that I got traditional iron gall recipes (normally for dip pen use only) to work well in any fountain pen, though.
