  1. 1. How many trades do you think it will take me to get to the Pelikan M1000?

monochromejournal,

Sounds interesting. Before I commit, would you be so kind as to post some photos of it. I've never seen the 333 before. :)

Monochromejournal,

I am definitely interested in that pen. It looks awesome! I should start trying to trade the 2 pens I have for a single pen. Just wondering, but do you have a single pen you might like to offer for both the Waterman Kultur and the Parker 45? Please let me know :) Thanks.

Group,

I am still open to suggestions from anyone who would like to trade for the Waterman Kultur and the Parker 45 :) My goal is to consolidate these two pens into one nicer pen. Any suggestions?

Are you going to publish a review on the yellow Waterman, Jon?

Lex,

Yes I will publish a review. I am waiting for the semester to end first. But, I wanted to keep this discussion going, so I posted that last post :) I didn't want the thread to die.

Excellent, Jon. The study has priority!

Take your time for the review, just wanted to know if you planned one. And you did.

The notification system FPN offers for tracking a thread is beyond praise and I'm sure it will let me know when it is there! :clap1:

Cheers, Lex

I just stumbled across this today. It looks like a very fun project. :) It's also nice to see something with a positive vibe to it. Too often we focus on people can't/won't do and don't look at what people may be willing to do if asked. :)

Check this. . .

http://zobeid.zapto.org/image/pens/conklin_endura_1.jpghttp://zobeid.zapto.org/image/pens/conklin_endura_2.jpg

The pen to focus on is the second one, the Conklin Endura. The others are only in the picture for comparison.

From our IMs, Jon seems pretty enthusiastic about this one. I hope he likes it. I'm not going to say too much about my own opinion of the Endura, though. I'd rather wait until he reviews it, and then see if his impression is anything like mine.

I still have to review the Kultur and the Parker 45. I've been carrying the Kultur around every day with me in my single pen pouch. It has been getting good use for weeks with Waterman Blue-Black Ink. But, I am waiting for some converters to arrive so I can test the Parker 45 for review. But fear not, even if i trade it away, I have a dupe of the 45 in my own collection I can use for the test :)

The second trade has already been arranged... I will provide details later. :)

A member kindly offered to trade the two pens shown below for my Airmail 69TS. It seemed like a great trade, and I had not tried either of these pens before. So I agreed. I am not eagerly awaiting these pens to "cross the pond" so that I can review them for you folks.

So what do you think of this trade? Any ideas for inks I should test? I was going to stay with Noodler's Heart of Darkness to keep things uniform throughout the trade process...

2. Stypen UP!

I think I have both pens. Or had. My Wearever is in green, still have it. The Stypen was part of a PIF effort.

Both nice pens, though.

Interesting idea. Those eyedroppers look like my Recife Crystal, but prolly without the price point. :P

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Thanks for the review along your journey. Since your class schedule keeps you so occupied, your write-ups are even more anticipated. And it's the first time I even heard of the Stypen Up!

I had never heard of the Stypen UP! either prior to this journey. This is why this is much more fun that simply going out and purchasing an M1000. I get to learn about many different pens along the way. :)

I've seen something like that in the news or something a couple of years back, a guy started off with a paper clip and traded his way for a car! :notworthy1:

Reading you're happy with the Conklin! I'm sure I'd be happy too. Never had one in my hands, but I think it's a marvelous pen. Take care you do not start loving it too much. You'd never reach your final goal!

(the guy that went for the Ferrari might have liked the Volkswagen, but he continued the game).

I wish you strength!
