Montblanc burgundy red is a nice color; however, I would like try the Diamine syrah which I see is darker. Nice review! Thank you!

I'm not normally a fan of burgundy-color inks (the Herbin 1670 Rouge Hematite being an exception, and that's more of a brick-red in my eyes). But I may have to try this one -- it's a little pinker looking on my screen than some of the others.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I love this color, but I looked back at pages I wrote with it a year ago (not exposed to light) and found that it had faded on different types of paper (Tomoe and non-Tomoe). So now I am afraid to use it. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem?

After reading your comment I examined writing samples of Montblanc Burgundy Red from two and from three years ago.

The fading was slight, at most. On Clairefontaine Triomphe the fading was almost imperceptible.

The understated nature of Montblanc Burgundy Red has long appealed to me.

I hope that it won't fade overly much for your writing, as it's a lovely color with excellent shading.
