Double Reservoir Power Filler In Which Visconti Pens?

The Pilot will shut off the ink flow if you close the knob at the back.

Thanks very much. Now knowing which model it is I've been able to find reviews here. Looks like a very nice pen.

The fact that you can "close the knob" to stop flow to the nib seems like it might be the thing that attracted me to the Visconti double reservoir. i.e. when traveling you could stop the flow and then feel safer that it wouldn't leak on a plane.

With the Visconti, there knob controls the shut-off valve between the reservoirs. The smaller reservoir is about the volume of a converter. To open the valve, you have to unscrew the knob and pull it out a bit to shift the ink between the reservoirs. So for flying or rough traveling, unscrew the knob, pull the plunger back, turn the pen nib up to shift all the ink into the big reservoir, then screw the knob to shut the valve keeping the ink in the big reservoir.

When you need to write again, or when the small reservoir runs out, you need to do that again (save turning the pen nib up): unscrew, pull out a bit, the screw it tight. Or if you know you're going to be writing a lot, you can leave the knob out, i.e. with valve in the open position.

While it has its advantage, the downsides are it requires some fiddling with the knob, and it's somewhat a pain to flush.

Anyone becomes mannered if you think too much about what other people think. (Kim Gordon)

Probably the Wallstreet LE (which isn't so limited at 4000 in each colour...) or Opera Master Demo. Some vendors still have these in stock, I bought mine several months ago from FPN member Bryant (of Chatterly Pens / pentime.com). And used examples can be found in all the usual places.

BTW, the Wall Street LE's are amazing pens. My blue one is the only filler failure that I have had.

Same here! I have Wallstreet LE's in all four colours (plus an Opera Master Demo) and all of them function perfectly except the blue Wallstreet which a has a loose seal (the one visible when you unscrew the blind cap), so I'll have to send it back to Italy for repair.

Are there any Visconti models with a double reservoir and a hook safe lock cap? I know there's one version of the Opera Crystal but it uses the mosquito filling thing which doesn't appeal to me at all.
