What Is Your Thickest Pen?

Name the thickest pen you own. Measurement or picture would be great.

I found FPN people generally like thicker pen. My hand prefer a regular size one, but a fat pen always grab my attention.

My largest to date is a CONKLIN Brown chased hard rubber Oversized Fountain Pen. This pen is in good condition with a HUGE 14k Conklin nib stamped Conklin Toledo. The barrel has a gold pressure leaver. The cap has a gold pocket clip with Conklin PAT 5-25-1918 and a wide cap band. The pen is 5 11/16 inches long and has been thoroughly cleaned, re-sacked and restored. This is an EXTREAMLY BEAUTIFUL HARD TO FIND pen.

I paid about $10.00 for it.

My biggest pen is my M805 ... but that's only because there isn't a blue M1005, and I didn't have enough money for a 149 :(

Ahem.

My Japanese Jumbo Pen. Girth is approx. 25mm (1 inch). These were apparently made for people with difficulties holding thin pens (arthritis etc.), but they are real functioning eyedropper pens with an ink shut-off valve.

Pictured here with a tiddly MB 149 for comparison.

Tombow do make an "egg pen" which looks quite a bit like that, but apparently the fountain pen version has been discontinued now and it's only available new as a rollerball. Boo!

I might take a look on eBay to see whether the FP versions are still around.

I have a functioning one of these as well. I also have another one that is about the same girth but longer that needs some work since it leaks around the feed.

I had a pen make to specs similar to a MB 149 but in a flat top design. Before that I had a Laban Mento which was smaller but still a big pen. Everyone true fountain devotee should have a large pen, 805's dont fit my definition of large.
