Great review. After much soul searching I got the Medium with stub nib and love it. But I am still thinking about an over-sized. Can't get enough orange!!!

Real nice to see this post get bumped up. This is the later version of the Dolce Vita with larger cap top medalion. Early versions had a small engraved sterling top. Besides two of them I have not seen another. Hope someone that has one will post pictures and their experiences with this pen over that time.

I love your review! I waited some time before buying one earlier this year and it is all I dreamed it should be!

I happilly bought my dolce vita oversized 7 months ago and I wrote with it for 4 weeks. The rest of the time it was underway or in Italy being repaired because of large leakage. The repeared it twice unsuccesfully and send it back quality checked. It still is not working properly today. I would strongly recommend NOT buying such an expensive pen for such bad quality and service. Do not maken the same mistake I did. I wish I could send it back now.

I want to pipe in with the other comment about seeing a sample of the ink and of course any impressions you may have of it.

When going on a journey always take your pen.

Great review of a beautiful pen. It's nice to see a 'new' manufacturer making such a statement pen and ruffling a few feathers of the 'establishment' on the way!

Fountain pens aren't a collection, it's an insatiable obsession!

Sorry to resurrect, but I was curious, is this a plastic or ebonite feed pen. More importantly, I was curious what the diameter of the cap and barrel was and how that compares to the diameters of the Montblanc 146, 149 and the Pelikan M800 and M1000.
