Anyone Have The Diaries & Notes Pen Pouch?

I have been looking at pen pouches and would prefer one with some color, so I could easily find it in my handbag.

 

I like the red Diaries & Notes one, but none of the pics I have seen online shows the interior. Is it compartmented in leather or cloth? Also, will it fit 149s or 146 pens?

Any info and pics would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I love the Diaries & Notes pouches and they will fit a modern 146 easily but I do not feel comfortable using it with my 149. Of course you could squeeze a 149 in a D&N pouch but it feels like it's not a good idea...

The Diaries & Notes feels flimsy compared to the Meisterstuck series.

Mine has held up beautifully over the years. A nice feature of the case pictured above is a divider that runs the length to keep pens from rubbing against each other, so it isn't necessary to clip the pen to the case, something I don't like to do.

You picture clearly shows that the 149 can fit. My d&n pouches are a close, tight fit but I can imagine that a 149 will fit after a couple of weeks of regular use.

For all those big and beefy #149's you're buying up, you need a few of these (also comes in a 2 pen model).

Hard to tell, because it' fixed, and you can't take it out to examine, but I'm guessing yes.

Ok, I just got two. The divider is viscose, according to the authenticity card. I currently do not have a 149 with me, but my Parker 51 is happily inside one of the compartments.

Yeah, I know. But so far, I have left them at home where they are safe and sound. I either carry a 146 or a Starwalker. Oh, and also a ballpoint (Legrand)

The newer d&n pouches have a MB star on the front. Very nice.

Here is what I got.

I would call the red cardinal red, and the purple one, mulberry.

 

When I tried to insert a 149, the fit got so tight that pushing it in farther meant jamming in the pen, and I decided it wasn't a good idea.

 

However, these fit my Starwalkers very well, and my 146s, too. One drawback is the box leather. Every little fingernail scratch shows, as you can see in the first pic. But since I bought these to protect my pens, I'll overlook that problem.

That's the feeling I have also ... but Bladerunner's post makes me confident that the pocuh will "wear" over the time with regular use in a way that it will fit the 149 one day as well.

I can only surmise that the older version I have is roomier than the new ones, because I have plenty of wiggle room for the 149, and my case has not been stretched out.

The croc tub case looks beautiful but I'm always worried that the absence of divider will mean the pens will rub one another, of particular concern with Solitaire models. Is that a valid concern?

 

The advantage to the Diary cases is that it gives you a choice of colour. Particularly useful as a present for a woman. I know my wife has never like the colour black so she's happy with her mandarine/red case.

 

Personally, I prefer the sturdiness of the Sienna range.

I thought that croc tub case was made for one pen only? :hmm1:

 

If I were manufacturing pen cases, I would line them with something übersoft, such as velvet. Even with the divider, in my opinion, the D&N compartment is still too rough and may just scratch a pen.

 

The ideal pen case for me would have an exterior made of pebbled leather so that, no matter how much handling it took, it would remain nice looking. The interior would have roomy compartments and would be, as I said, velvet-lined.

 

I have some great designs in my head, and would love to find a leathersmith to make them come to life.
