Specialty Ink? Cool Bottles?

inky

My niftiest bottle must be the Caran d"Ache for my Grand Canyon, it's heavy too and that's probably a lot of the cost.

Akkerman ink must be order from the shop in the Hague, if you live outside the EU they discount the VAT tax that's included in the price on thier website.

I've always liked the bottles the old time Sanford Ink comes in. Pressed glass, square cut... they came in two different sizes.

Pelikan Edelstein Jade ink arrived today! As did my new Baystate Blue with 2 pens.

Hello, my name is inky and I'm a FP ink junkie!

Love the Akkerman bottles, but do not see where you can order them in the US.

Back to the BSB, love it, classic blue, NO feathering. Used the free FP and wrote on several mediums, including a puzzle book that is newsprint paper!! Shocking, no feathering at all. Oh, and the people at Goulet Pen Co. are super to deal with, thank you Rachel. (No, not affiliated, just very grateful to have found another supplier for my "habit".)

Link goes nowhere!

Actually, I meant this cool bottle. http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd273/BrownEyedGirl248/Herbin1670.jpg

Actually, my M1000 finds this bottle so cold that it doesn't even want to get in touch with it.

That heart shape bottle is dumb because you can't fit any fountain pens for refills. How about the Stipula bottle?

Even better a Chanel No. 5 bottle.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Above is a kind of boring bottle of seppia ink from il papero (boutique stationary company who makes all their stuff in Florence). The only cool thing about it is the fact that it is wax sealed, and, hence, they come in small bottles because the ink doesnt keep so well.

Not super cool, but interesting. I loooove the akkerman bottles.

For me, just Lamy bottles. For the most part. I refilled a Waterman bottle with a really thin black ink mix (It looks alright - CTTOI it's just like what was originally in the bottle, har har har har).

Their practicality sure is cool, even if they're not much to look at.

Link goes nowhere!

That's because the link was from a January 2011 thread that jkingrph resurrected and whatever inky was linking to has been moved by now. :P

I really like the Akkerman ink bottles and managed to get a bottle of their ink through the FPN group ink buy earlier this year. I also like the labels on the Noodeler's inks and a lot of the old, vintage ink bottles. Not supposed to get the ink just because of the bottle, but..... I, for one, am guilty of having done just that...
