Their notebook covers are outstanding! I have both the A4 and A5 Rhodia covers and they pack and travel beautifully and are great for every day carrying too. These notebooks exude character and have that "not made in China" quality. ( said with full respect for my friends in China)

Hi Professor: Which A4 & A5 Rhodias are you referring to? thx, d.

Greetings, dapv: please pardon my inaccurate statement = "my bad, my bad" as my students would say! I have the Gfeller covers for the Rhodia webbies--both the 3 x 5 and the 5 x 8 and they are terrific. I also have the three slot pen holder and it's also top notch! Let me know if you decide to order--I'd like to hear your impressions. All the best !

Thank you, Professor, for responding so quickly. Actually, I'm a longtime repeat customer of Gfeller who has no other affiliation with the company. I suppose I'm more a fanatic about the items they so carefully produce. I'm also a Rhodia / ExaClair fan, and upon reading your previous post I thought there may be some new items for me to consider. I have and continue to recommend Gfeller and some other similar crafts people in the US to family, friends, colleagues, and associates.

I have gfeller covers for my A5 and A4 clairefontaine notebooks, as well as for the Quo Vados Habana. They are sensational covers, beautifully made. Must say I am addicted to these covers. Even though they don't appear on their website they now have patterns for the A5 stapled Clairefontaine and A4 spiral (plain cover version). They are well priced when compared to alternatives. If you are equivocating take the plunge. You won't be disappointed. Nice people to deal with too.

Be sure to watch Gfeller's video, "What's Your Moleskine In?"

That's my work and I think I captured Steve's craftsmanship well but it is still impossible to accurately portray the level of professionalism and attention to detail Steve and Lori put into every item they build.

Expensive? Not really. You are a geologist and you buy one of Steve's shoulder or field cases it will be the last case you will ever need. That is serious value. Handmade in America of the finest materials by someone who gives a darn.

I ride a recumbent, I play go, I use Macintosh so of course I use a fountain pen.

My covers live downunder and I can endorse your comments. So nice to deal from afar with nice people who make sensational products and, as you said, they give a darn.
