Slim Fountain Pens

Hello, I'm on the hunt for a high quality, slim fountain pen.

Main reason is that I'd like somethings thats easy to transport and doesn't look ridiculous whipping out of my pocket at the airport or restaurant. I am thinking of something clean and elegant like the Starwalker, but preferably with a more ornate nib.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

You may want to consider a pen like the Aurora Magellano which I believe is sold mainly in Europe. It has a 14K Aurora nib, and comes in a variety of finishes.

There is also the Pentel Excalibur. Its narrow but made out of steel, so it has a nice weight to it and writes excellently smooth. Granted, it doesn't look as nice as a montblanc but its not very expensive either. I like mine.

Parker 180.

Sort of vintage/sort of modern. By itself, the nib design should ignite a conversation.

Nice pen. It takes the standard Parker refill as well as the standard converter.

I have a Mont Blanc Noblesse from many years ago. Lovely to write with even though very slender. If they still make this pen, it's sleek and comfortable both.

Slimmest I´ve seen: the Hero 360

The voice of this guitar of mine, at the awakening of the morning, wants to sing its joy;

I sing to your volcanoes, to your meadows and flowers, that are like mementos of the greatest of my loves;

If I am to die away from you, may they say I am sleeping, and bring me back home.

Hi,

I noticed Main Street Pens (aka Mr Zorn's House of Wonders) has a 'Lady' Sheaffer with a 14K Triumph nib; which I find to be not only an exceptional nib for design & performance, but immensely appealing and quite unique.

Aurora Hastil for me. I don't even like slim fountain pens as a rule and I'm totally in love with mine.

It's pretty much the epitome of "clean and elegant".

The Sheaffer Slim Targa is among the best, offering their superlative inlaid nib. They have not been produced in quite a few years but new, old stock pens are still available.

Noodler's Nib Creaper has just hit the market. I have one and am pleased with it. It is about the width of a Sheaffer Slim Targa.

How about a nice vintage pen? Sheaffer made some slim models in the Balance line and the design is quite nice, aerodynamic/streamlined elegant pieces for travelers.

My M320 is almost too slim for me; maybe it'd be just right for you. It is, however, short enough to fit nicely in my T-shirt pocket.

This is a very enlightening thread. I didn't realize there were so many beautiful slim pens! This thread is making me want to take out a slim pen as well and I'm kicking myself for not getting a MB Noblesse one time when a store was selling them out at low prices!
